
The Steering Group
The Steering Group leads the Network, helping to guide our projects and make sure everything we do reflects our shared values of being inclusive, age-proud, and led by older people. Membership is made up of older people, aged 50+, from across Greater Manchester. We aim to have representation from each borough, with up to two representatives per borough. By joining, you can represent your borough, share your experience, and play a meaningful role in shaping what we do across Greater Manchester.

About the Steering Group
The Steering Group leads the Network, guiding our priorities and making sure everything we do reflects our shared values of being inclusive, age-proud , and led by older people.

We meet every two months at the St. Thomas Centre in Ardwick, Manchester. Meetings are structured, but informal. ​
Members help shape projects and events, represent their borough, and ensure that older people's voices are heard across Greater Manchester. By joining Steering Group, you play a meaningful role in influencing decisions and strengthening the Network's Impact.

The GMOPN is looking for new Steering Group members.
We're looking for people aged 50+ who are passionate about being a voice for older people across Greater Manchester. This is a chance to share your experience, influence decisions, and make sure older people's voices are heard.

Rochdale
Tameside
