Join us for our next Housing & Neighbourhoods Working Group on 14 October

The GM Ageing Hub and GM Resilience Unit will be presenting on the Ageing and Resilience programme, providing an update on the work that has taken place over the past year around emergency preparedness in later life. They will also be showcasing their new Community Risk Register, a guide that provides an overview of emergencies that could affect us in Greater Manchester, such as flooding, heatwaves and power cuts, and the steps we can all take to prepare for them.

Additionally, Shazia Kamran from the GMCA Ageing Hub will be bringing a discussion on the emerging Greater Manchester Rightsizing Framework to the working group. The framework aims to support older residents to make informed, choice-led moves to homes that better meet their needs, helping to improve wellbeing and independence while making better use of existing housing stock.…
